Wisbech and District Riding Club will be sending teams and individuals to Area 7 qualifiers.  Team events include Team Dressage, Pairs Dressage, Dressage to Music, Pairs Dressage to Music, Quadrille, Showjumping, Eventing, Equitation Jumping, Eventing, Riding Test, Rural Riders.

 

Riding for your club is a great experience. The process of putting yourself forward for selection is very exciting and rewarding.   I hope you find the following information helpful and that you decide to put yourself forward to represent Wisbech Riding Club.

 

This year Area 7 has also holding a grass roots competition, THOROGOOD MEMORIAL GRASS ROOTS LEAGUE

 

The aims of the Thorogood Memorial Grass Roots League Competition are to encourage riders to progress at their own pace and level and to promote the ethos of British Riding Clubs - Ride together: Train together:  Compete together: Have Fun together.  It is intended that the Grass Roots Classes will run alongside the existing Qualifiers.  If this is successful in 2013, other events may be considered for 2014.

 

SPECIFIC RULES: WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE SPECIAL RULES WHICH FOLLOW, NORMAL BRC RULES WILL APPLY IN ALL CASES

 

COMBINATION OF HORSE AND RIDER: Not to have competed Affiliated at any level in the relevant discipline

RIDERS: Riders not to have qualified for BRC Championships in the relevant Discipline or hold a qualification of BHSAI or above [with the exception of where a rider wishes to enter a young (4/5yr old) horse which will be considered by the Area Rep or David Clarke (an Area 7 OS)]

COMBINED TRAINING: there will be 2 sections—0 points BD/0 BS winnings and those with points BD / BS winnings to allow any dressage riders who do not normally do SJ to participate and those who SJ but not dressage you may not have points and winnings in both disciplines

FLU VACS: Correct Flu Vaccinations will be encouraged but the BRC rule will be followed in a lenient manner and riders advised to make their flu vacs correct to BRC rules

JUNIOR/SENIOR TEAMS: teams may be mixed junior and senior in any combination

DRESSAGE TACK: INTRO dressage ONLY will be allowed to ride in any bit but will carry a 5 point penalty if the bit is not BD legal

DRESSAGE: 2 riders to ride an Intro test, 2 riders to ride a Preliminary Test

SHOW JUMPING: First round to be at 60cm. 2nd round to be at 70cm

COMBINED TRAINING: : 2 riders to ride an Intro test with 60cm SJ. 2 riders to ride a Preliminary Test with a 70cm SJ

ODE: BRC HT 80 Q&C level tests. 60cm SJ & 70cm XC

INDOOR SJ: First round to be at 60cm. 2nd round to be at 70cm

RIDING TEST: to ride BRC Prelim Riding test in a separate section to the main qualifier
